I have an opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Manager, join a rapidly growing, innovative company who provide a wide range of specialist services, to a variety of sectors. They work with their clients to provide a consultative design service which identifies cost advantageous solutions for below ground pipelines, tunnels and shafts.
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand their market expertise to identify opportunities, nurture and grow client relationships, win new business and position the company as a leader in tunnelling and underground infrastructure.
This role is a mixture of Marketing strategies and Business Development, ideal for someone experienced within marketing and ready to take a step further to cover business development.
Key responsibilities for this Business Development Manager role:
- Support the directors to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and secure new projects in the tunnelling and infrastructure sectors.
- Manage the company's digital presence, including website, social media, and online content, ensuring consistent and professional messaging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and expertise.
- Create marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and press releases, to support business development activities.
- Manage relationships with external marketing and PR agencies to ensure effective promotion and public relations efforts.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, marketing performance, and progress towards targets.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and project capabilities.
Experience required for this Business Development Manager role:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in business development and marketing, ideally within the construction sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of tunnelling, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects, including key clients, industry challenges, and market trends - NOT essential.
- Proven track record in identifying new opportunities, winning contracts, and managing client relationships.
- Experience in developing marketing strategies, managing digital platforms, and creating marketing collateral.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and internal teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, website management, email marketing).
Package offered for this Business Development Manager role:
- Salary £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience/level)
- 25 Days annual leave + Bank Holidays
