Our client, based in Doncaster, is currently recruiting for a Development Engineer on a permanent contract. Our client is proud to be a leading international infrastructure group with a diverse and inclusive workforce.
The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary rate is between £43,000 – £49,000 based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector and excellent knowledge of Track Renewals Disciplines, Rules and Regulations, HASAW and other appropriate regulations.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Work closely with the Long Term Planning manager and production teams within the CRSA to plan and develop the works by formulating optimum track access requirements, engineering haulage and strategic plant whilst complying with the appropriate Rules, Regulations and safety legislation.
- Provide all information for the DWWP, Safety Verification, QRSA and readiness meetings.
- Produce a handover pack which containing all the relevant documents which support the development and delivery methodologies of the works encompassing all discipline involvements ie Track, OLE, S&T, E&P and Civils.
- Following the handover of works provide a continual support service to the delivery teams.
- Implement Best Practice and Lessons Learnt into the development of works.
Experience and expertise required:
- Extensive knowledge of Track Renewal processes, operational railway and associated safety matters.
- Excellent knowledge of Rules and Regulations, HASAW and other appropriate regulations, including Group Standards.
- Knowledge of financial controls.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- PTS, COSS

Working hours:
- 42 hours per week
