TXM Recruit are looking for a Buyer on a permanent based in Crewe working for a large engineering/logistics firm. In return a salary of up to £40,000 dependent on experience with some great opportunities to progress within the business.

 

Buyer Job Description:

Must have a CIPS or MCIPS qualifications.


Managing medium sized companies and their portfolios under direction of the category manager.

Responsible for managing of a variety of supplier categories - circa £10 million.

Working closely with the category manager you will developing, approving, implementing, and reviewing a supplier development plan across your own portfolio of clients.

Identify and implement cost savings in line with business goals and objectives for your portfolio of suppliers.

Ensure accurate maintenance of SAP master data for your portfolio of suppliers to ensure timely bid responses to meet customer deadlines and to maximise new business winning opportunities and growth.

Prepare and undertake Supplier Engagement meetings reviewing Q,C,D to improve business competitiveness and customer service, acting as Supplier Champion for suppliers in own portfolio.
