Mane are recruiting for an Operational Buyer to work on a 6 month contract in Llanberis. The company you would be working for make Health Care Diagnostic Products and are the sole manufacturing unit worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for a buyer to join the procurement team and make a difference.
Areas of Responsibility/Tasks:
1 - Plan, organise and co-ordinate purchases of materials by using the systems available to ensure timely delivery.
2 - Resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices
3 - Perform value analysis to identify potential cost improvements and develop cost saving proposals
4 - Co-ordinate activities to ensure sufficient batches of raw materials are in stock to meet conformance and manufacturing requirements in line with Production Plans
5 - Perform various SAP system routines to ensure data integrity and produce various reports to support operational needs
6 - Establish good working relationships with internal customers & external partners to optimise the material flow process
7 - Perform work in compliance with established procedures and ensure all quality records, as defined within the Quality System, are completed according to the required standards and in a timely manner
8 - Complies with all company EHS and Quality policies and procedures at all times. Highlights any real potential EHS and Quality issues to management in a timely manner.
Competencies:
1 - Some Knowledge and/or understanding of Procurement activities
2 - Knowledge and/or understanding of MRP systems
3 - Computer literacy - Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, SAP.
4 - Some knowledge/understanding of planning systems and planning activities
5 - Some knowledge/understanding of basic science (biology/chemistry)
6 - Some knowledge/understanding of Quality Management Systems
