Role: Structural AutoCAD Technician

I am looking to place an AutoCAD Technician in a consultancys office in Surbiton, Surrey. This is a smaller firm who work on primarily residential and healthcare new-build/refurbishment projects. Due to ongoing growth of the firm, they are looking for an AutoCAD Technician, ideally with 2 years in industry. However, the firm are ideally looking for someone local, and would be willing to consider individuals with AutoCAD experience who may be looking to go on day release to complete an HNC, or you may have operated within a slightly different industry (i.e. architecture) but are still capable with AutoCAD. 

Candidates should have previous experience of working with AutoCAD, preferably in a structural design setting. You will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of a Senior Technician, and will have the opportunity to develop your skills as a Technician/Draftsman. You will liaise with structural engineers and project managers to develop structural plans on a range of building structures projects. The role will also incorporate some site-based work, ensuring that drawings and designs can translate to the real world.

Job Requirements:

• 2 5 years AutoCAD experience
• Relevant education (firm willing to take on day release candidates for HNC)
• Experience of residential, healthcare sectors
• Experience of site-based surveys
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Desire to improve AutoCAD skills
