BIM Coordinator

Location: London Euston

Salary: £50-60k per annum plus benefits (Depends on experience)

My client is currently in the market for an experienced BIM professional to join their team and work on a large infrastructure project. The ideal BIM Coordinator will be competent in delivering a projects BIM Execution Plan and lead the BIM Technicians production of BIM/CAD output.

BIM Coordinator’s Responsibilities:

• Support the BIM Lead in controlling supply chain production, either leading or supporting clash detection, carrying out QA checks or any other supportive function.
• Produce graphical data (3D, 2D, federated models, drawings, visualizations, etc.), GIS, documentation or asset data for the team for all the project phases from early design to handover.
• Produce graphical data, including as-built, required for the completion of the project.
• Work with the Design, Temporary Works, Survey and Construction team in the production of graphical data for different purposes.
• Follow CAD/BIM Manager instructions and support him in the production of graphical data and the coordination and control of the Supply Chain graphical production.
• Produce or populate any piece of PIM information required graphical, non-graphical, GIS or documentation.
• Produce visualisations or videos when required in support of the project team.
• Support the Information Management Team in the production, implementation and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan set of documents or another project documentation.
• Support the Information Management Team in maintaining activities defined in the BIM Execution Plan set of documents.
• Execute the transformation of graphical data between different software systems.
• Support the Information Management team in implementing Information Use Cases.
• Provide support to the CAD/BIM Manager in providing training to the Team

BIM Coordinator’s Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Project Wise
• Knowledge to produce 2D technical drawings and 3D models for different disciplines
• Ability to discuss with engineers the requirements necessary to produce drawings
• Technical knowledge to incorporate necessary changes to drawings and models to generate as-builts
• Ability to manage and organize documentation
• In-depth working knowledge of AECOsim/ OpenBuildings, Navigator platform and Revit BIM enabling applications.
