Position Title BIM Technician

Job Summary

The candidate will join a fast growing Transportation/Rail team and work on exciting Rail and Rail Infrastructure projects across the UK. Training and mentoring will be provided as an on-going plan for career progression. The candidate will be based in the Croydon office for support of the wider Rail team and will report to senior colleagues.

The ideal candidate should be keen to keep commitments and be proud of bringing outstanding results to everything he/she does. Key responsibilities:

• Perform CAD/BIM drafting/modelling duties using AutoCAD / Revit / MicroStation / AECOsim

• Experience of working in a ProjectWise environment

• Produce concrete/steelwork/rebar CAD/BIM deliverables based on sketches provided by Designers

• Produce and maintaining drawings to the relevant CAD/BIM standards

• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager

Minimum Requirements

• Considerable experience of structural engineering drafting/modelling (concrete/steelwork/rebar)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD /MicroStation/ Revit/ AECOsim

• Good time management skills and commitment to meet deadlines

• Proactive approach to learn and develop new skills, especially BIM implementation

• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with construction drawings for concrete, rebar and steelwork

• HNC in Civil/Structural Engineering and/or Autodesk/Bentley equivalent CAD drafting
