CAD Technician in London, London, United Kingdom
Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery teams are provided with, workable temporary works design drawings in a timely manner to suit programme needs. The role will report to the Area East Temporary Works Design Manager/Engineering Manager.
The TW Senior CAD Technician is responsible for
* Produce site sketches, site layouts for Construction delivery teams.
* Produce detailed construction drawings for the Temporary Works design team.
* Coordinate with delivery and design team to produce workable solutions.
* Be aware of applicable Network Rail standards and ensure designs comply.
* Ensure designs are coordinated with MEP as required and include all temporary
arrangements.
* Implement CAD standards to ensure the high quality of drawings
* Work closely with the engineering team assisting with any CAD requirements
* Produce sections and engineering drawings from survey data / 3D Models.
* Provide administration assistance to Temporary Works design team where required.
* Reporting to the Area Temporary Works Design Manager.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience as a CAD technician for tunnelling or civil engineering work. Experience in other industries and disciplines will be considered
* Skilled in both 2D drafting and 3D modelling techniques
* A strong work ethic and an enthusiasm to learn, develop and share knowledge
* Proficient skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation & ProjectWise editions.
