CAD Technician

York & Remote Working

Salary / Benefits:
£25,000 - £33,000 per annum, negotiable on experience plus package

Company Information:

A principal rail contractor specialising in undertaking a wide variety of rail-based design, development and construction projects are looking to add a CAD Technician to their growing design team in York working on the Transpennine Route Upgrade project (TRU)

To be suitable for the position you must have;

- Experience of CAD systems, particularly Microstation 3D and AutoCAD.
- Engineering experience in the detailing of Infrastructure solutions ideally in a railway environment.
- An ability to work as part of an integrated design team and undertake instructions from the Design Engineers.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
- Good attention to detail with a professional outlook.
- English and mathematical literacy to a minimum GCSE 'C' standard.

Role Responsibilities

To provide general 2D/3D CAD services to the project, this will include, amongst other tasks, assisting the client in the production of As-Built drawings and updating 3D Model information from Red-Line drawing mark-ups as produced by contractors on site and producing multi-discipline drawings as required to assist the CAD Support team in providing technical support to contractors.
