CAD Technition required to cover multiple rail projects across London.
Your duties as a CAD Tech will be Reporting directly to the CAD/BIM Manager, you will be responsible for building and amending a variety of design drawings prepared by the design and BIM teams. The role includes the preparation of drawings,charts, and other associated aspects within the design team as a whole. You will also liaise with junior and assistant technicians, ensuring the smooth delivery of the project from a design perspective. You will be office based for this role but may occasionally be required to visit site for associated work. Other duties will include works with: 1. Bentley Microstation V8i (Select Series 3) 2. AutoCAD 3. Projectwise V8i Select Series 4) 4. N4CE Ground modelling software 5. Microsoft Ofiice Experience of processing A. Topographical survey data and producing 3 dimensional survey models B. Point cloud data from 3D laser scanner C. Producing line drawings from point cloud data Some knowledge of the intricacies of Land Surveying would be useful but not essential.
The right candidate should be proficient in the Microstation applications and have an awareness of Synchro Pro (or similar). Experience in the Rail sector would be preferable.
