Due to my clients continuing success and growth, they are now looking for an experienced Civil Engineering CAD Technician at their Solihull office.

The team has particular expertise in below ground drainage and external works design with a varied mix of private sector works including earthworks engineering, cut and fill assessments, remediation proposals, underground services coordination, foul and surface water drainage including sustainable drainage systems pavement kerbing and levels design and adoptable works including drainage and highways works layouts and details for residential projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing site layouts for engineering and drainage designs infrastructure/highways and drainage drawings relating to medium to large development projects.

• Assisting with initial site surveys
• Support senior civil engineering staff with design and drawing production
• Producing drainage layouts, details and schedules using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D and Microdrainage software
• Creating engineering design layouts, details and schedules using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D
• Preparing layouts sections and schedules to estimate the amounts and type of material relating to earthworks using AutoCAD Civil3D
• Working to Implementing company and client standards to a high degree
• Attending training and CPD sessions to improve the individual and company knowledgebase

• Fully conversant in AutoCAD with Civil Engineering related experience
• Experience and skills in Civils 3D, and Microdrainage would be a distinct advantage
• Past experience of drainage and external works relating to private sites is essential
• Experience of Highway and Residential development projects is beneficial
• A relevant engineering qualification (e.g HNC) or equivalent.
