Electrical Maintenance Technicians in Coventry, United Kingdom
Electrical Maintenance Technicians required for one of our key rolling stock clients based in Birmingham/ Coventry on a 6 month rolling contract.
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will be maintaining trains across 2 locations from Coventry to Birmingham working a flexible shift rotation on nights/days. You will be based on an hourly rate of £23Ltd on a 50 hour working week Monday to Friday.
With their continues growth across the industry they are now looking for a number of Electrical Maintenance Technicians with background experience carrying out key preventative maintenance.
Your following responsibilities:
" Carrying out preventative maintenance across the fleet of newly refurbished trains. Programmes include: safety checks, inspections in accordance to examination sheets, component changes & overhaul of various rolling stock parts. Carry out any fault finding and remedial work in a safe manner and ensure the unit is in a suitable clean condition, prior to the unit entering service.
" Ensure that the maintenance performance standards for rolling stock are maintained. Setting and monitoring standards and safe method of work for maintenance, repairs & inspection of the fleet, either by internal Staff or external Contractors.
" Monitoring recorded faults, investigating as necessary and taking action to reduce or prevent further occurrences. Adopting a flexible approach to work practices and a 'Competence based skills' approach to work completion i.e. do what trained, assessed and deemed competent to do to provide full flexibility based upon competence and skills provided.
" Refurbishment and modification of the rolling stock including the replacement and upgrading of components and systems. Carry out any installation or commissioning work on any new built projects at Coventry or other locations as required.
Key individual requirements:
" Must have completed an apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline
" Previous and demonstrable experience of Rolling Stock commissioning, fault investigation and maintenance.
" Experience of Planned Maintenance and Fault Finding methods as well as experience working in an Engineering workshop & associated railway environments.
" PTS (Personal Track Safety) - will be provided but is a requirement for this role.
" IT literate in MS Office, general software, email and be able to create spreadsheets and format documents.
