JOB TITLE: QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (PAINT & COATINGS)
LOCATION: DERBYSHIRE
HOURS: MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK 3 SHIFTS
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6-12 MONTHS
SALARY: NEGOTIABLE DOE
COMPANY:
Working within an industrial paint shop facility you will manage the quality of materials & work across a team of preppers, blasters & sprayers.
Duties include:
- Responsible for ensuring working environment is in line with house keeping and 5s polices.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and depot procedures to ensure a safe and accident free environment.
- Control of all paint shop inspection from FAIRS to final inspection
- Control of quality of all third party supply materials and services
- Responsible for ensuring team tooling is controlled, appropriate, adequate and safe for the purpose.
- Ensuring that standards are understood, tracked & achieved.
Ideal Experience:
- Previous quality control, supervisor or managerial experience within commercial paint or coatings sector
- Internal or external training in any of the following - Team leading, LEAN, 5S, Kaizen, Business Improvement Technique.
- Hands on background in any disciplines relevant to prep, paint or coatings is highly advantageous but not essential
- Exposure to large commercial vehicles such as HGV/PSV or other large units such as military vehicles, aeroplanes etc is beneficial
Experience & Qualifications:
- Good communication skills
- Leadership Skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Ability to meet targets
- Computer literate and able to use MS office
