TXM Recruit are looking for a Quality Technician experienced within an Automotive, manufacturing or Rail Paint workshop environment. This is your opportunity to join a national paint specialist business and work onsite at one of the world's largest rolling stock manufacturing companies based in Derby.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
As a Quality Technician, you will be working across a permanent night shift pattern which will consist of Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 12 hours. Start time/finish time will be 19:00pm until 7:00am.
The salary for this role is £33,000 per annum.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Collate and display the substrate defect analysis for virgin products supplied, update and submit to your manager on a weekly basis in order to relay all quality related issues directly to the supplier including mould run supervision.
- Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditations (e.g. ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001).
- Assist in IRS/Quality alerts and brief relevant staff on issues
- Process audits and continuous improvement
- Conduct weekly process audits on incoming and outgoing products ensuring all quality standards are being met, along with process audits on the entire paint operations.
- To be available at all times to make decisions for quality related concerns based in production demand (by using the quality manuals supplied to you for this purpose).
- Understand customer specifications and expectations. Ensure you are familiar with the customer and quality specifications for each part.
- Dimensionally inspect parts to Customer Standard/control plan
- You will be expected to learn and develop additional skills to maximise a multi-skilled approach. Update your training records with any new training received.
- Complete Statistical Process Control documentation and record all instances of failure on the appropriate reporting format.
- Experience in a paint shop environment (Automotive, Aerospace or Rail) is advantageous
- Previous quality experience within a manufacturing environment
