Rail Maintenance Technician - SISS
Are you a skilled Field Technician looking to join a growing and experienced team? Are you looking for your next challenge within a friendly and fast paced environment? We’re looking to expand our maintenance function to keep London’s rail infrastructure as efficient as possible.
Role Profile:
Reporting to the Team Leader for carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our London Train Operation Companies contracts including X Rail DOO safety critical systems. You will be working as part of a wider 24/7 operation providing our maintenance services within London for our wide customer base. SISS is essential to ensuring the travelling public are correctly informed and safe as they commute across our customer's rail networks, our maintenance service is critical to functioning of these systems.
Typical Deliverables:
- Self-motivated individual that works well as part of a team who also takes ownership of their workload.
- Good understanding of Network Rail health and safety is key and adhering to company/customer polices.
- Responsible for meeting all SLA/KPI requirements whilst maintaining a professional attitude
- Attending planned and corrective maintenance tasks
- Ensuring SISS assets are well maintained, and station communication faults are reported and fixed
- Utilising field IT equipment to provide real time corrective and planned maintenance data
- Meeting performance levels/targets.
- Implementing safe systems of work and meeting all QEHS standards
Working on SISS assets within a station railway environment
- Implementing Safe Systems of Work to ensure work areas are safe
- Working within a SLA/KPI driven environment
- Liaison with the Service Centre for tasking, fault updates and completions
Business Operations Skills – Experience:
Some experience but not essential in the following areas: -
- CCTV
- Public Address
- Customer Information Screens
- Passenger Help Points
- Station Data Networks
- Servers / Control Systems
- Data / power cabling
Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:
IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft applications.
Ideally you will hold a PTS (personal track safety/sentinel card)
HNC or equivalent in telecommunications
