Role Profile:
Reporting to the Team Leader - Duty Manager you are responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities and assisting with reactive maintenance on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our across Train Operating Companies contracts. You will be working as part of a wider 24/7 operation providing our maintenance services for our wide customer base. SISS is essential to ensuring the travelling public are correctly informed and safe as they commute across our customer's rail networks, our maintenance service is critical to functioning of these systems.
Typical Deliverables:
- Self-motivated individual that works well as part of a team who also takes ownership of their workload.
- Good understanding of Network Rail health and safety is key and adhering to company/customer polices.
- Responsible for meeting all SLA/KPI requirements whilst maintaining a professional attitude
- Attending planned and corrective maintenance tasks
- Ensuring SISS assets are well maintained, and station communication faults are reported and fixed
- Utilising field IT equipment to provide real time corrective and planned maintenance data
- Meeting performance levels/targets.
- Implementing safe systems of work and meeting all QEHS standards
Business Operations Skills – Essential
IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft applications.
Ideally you will hold a PTS (personal track safety/sentinel card)
Some experience but not essential in the following areas: -
- CCTV
- Public Address
- Customer Information Screens
- Passenger Help Points
- Station Data Networks
- Servers / Control Systems
- Data / power cabling
Business Operations Skills – Qualifications
HNC or equivalent in telecommunications

- Effective written and oral communication skills;
