Senior Revit Technician in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
You will be an experienced AutoCAD and Revit user, experienced in detailing modern steel, concrete and composite steel/concrete structures. Your skills profile will also include the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and teach more junior technicians. The role is with our growing Glasgow team for a Senior technician with experience of working on Bridges projects. You would be part of the Rail, Bridges & Structures Sector, covering Scotland and Ireland, numbering over 50 staff. The Sector works closely with other disciplines from the Roads, Rail, Geotechnical, Environment, Transport Planning and Building Divisions.
You will be based within the Bridge Design team, preparing 3-D models and 2-D drawings as deliverables on transportation projects, generally in the road and rail sectors. The Bridge design team is a mature team, with a strong reputation, having delivered on some of Scotland’s most prestigious projects, including the Forth Crossing, White Cart Viaduct, Borders Railway, Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and Harthill Footbridge.

Thames Tideway – New Sewer under the River Thames
Perth MetroNet – 32 kilometres of rail to Perth’s (Australia) network
Shieldhall Overpass Refurbishment and Strengthening – Glasgow
Lomond Bridge Deck Replacement – West Dunbartonshire
Dargan Rail Bridge Inspection/Assessment/PTSI
York Street Interchange – A roads scheme to improve the flow of traffic at the confluence of two motorways and the Westlink in Belfast

Job Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to Technician team lead
3-D model preparation using REVIT/AECOSim
Preparation of AutoCAD drawings
RC Detailing & BBS checking
Working collaboratively with Engineers and other Technicians
Delivery to programme and budget
Mentoring of junior technician

Minimum Requirements :
HNC in Civil Engineering
REVIT experience(key skill) ideally also exposure to Bentley 3-D modelling software
Experience in AutoCAD structural detailing, preferably in a bridges team, but building structures candidates will be considered
Ideally, RC detailing experience using CADS-RC or 3-D RC detailing
Experience of Common Data Environment(s), mainly Projectwise, ideally BIM 360 also
Capable of mentoring a junior technician
Preferred Qualifications :
Capable of mentoring a junior technician
Proven experience in supporting the administration of projects, including maintaining records and quality assurance
