TXM Recruit are working in partnership with an established train manufacturing business to hire a systems technician - To work on (fault find and rectification identification) train systems such as:
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Starting £ <phone number removed> % Shift Allowance (totalling £50,418)
(With a 6 months probation, on completion of competencies the salary will rise to £ <phone number removed> % shift allowance) (totalling £53,570)
Shifts: Mixture of Mornings, Days and Nights 40 hours a week. Dupont Shift Pattern
Qualification Required:
Apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds/ BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias and NVQ level 3.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
• Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
• Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required
• Review and summarise faults, failures and actions taken by depot production teams as required by the RAMS / performance Engineer
Role Requirements:
• Extensive professional engineering experience in (rolling stock) maintenance ideally but will consider individuals from an Avionics/Automotive or HGV background
• Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault finding techniques and the interaction between these, conducting and leading complex root cause investigations and reading electrical / mechanical schematics competently
• Ability to work as part of a team, going above and beyond were required
