We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer on a permanent basis in North East London for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.
You will carry out Fault finding and repairs on state of the art trains, the role is based shifts.
The salary starts is £48,000pa
The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and have great fault finding experience.

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and have great fault finding experience.
This will consist of such tasks as:
- Undertaking Fault finding and the associated repair thereof
- Provides assistance and technical feedback to the management team
- Observes all the rules and regulations related to health and safety practices, including a tidy workplace and disposing of substances with a high environmental impact.
- Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems.
- Carry out in house repairs of unserviceable equipment to reduce waste and increase efficiency in repair times on units
- Maintain stock levels and stock checks on site through booking our parts on asset management system and communications with depot management teams
Candidate profile:
- Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds / BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias
- Able to read electrical/mechanical schematics competently.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment and make decisions to tight deadlines.
- Must demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and ensure the depth of their specialist knowledge is maintained.
- Can demonstrate a customer driven attitude focused on quality.
