Position: Technician

Shifts: Day and Night Rotation

Hourly Rate: £37.51 (Umbrella), £28.27 (PAYE)

We are currently seeking a skilled Technician for a contract role at our Wembley location. This role involves maintaining and servicing depot rolling stock and associated equipment to support smooth depot operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of overhaul fleet locomotives, coaching stock, and related equipment.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective servicing and maintenance of the fleet.
• Strive for continuous improvement in quality.
• Collaborate effectively within a work team.
• Maintain a tidy working area and uphold good housekeeping practices.
• Undertake additional tasks within the scope of modification work as needed.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a mechanical engineering environment is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 or Higher in Electrical is required.
• Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative when necessary.
• Sound judgment and effective decision-making skills.
• Accurate record-keeping skills according to procedures.
