Salary: £31678.40, (days shift) £38,022 for shifts.

The company have secured a number of high profile orders with full life-cycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain brand new trains.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

you will be an experienced Mechanical Technician capable of maintenance and overhaul, with the ability to pick up and learn new skills quickly. you need to be dextrous with an eye for detail to ensure the safety and functionality of trains to go out into service.

Experienced in mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatices.

If you have rolling stock experince then bogie and power pack experience would be advantageous.

Mechnical bias ex forces or Rolling Stock Technicians, who will be available to attend an assessment 18th February in Manchester.

ABOUT THE JOB

This role will start as a days only position with a salary of £31,678.

There could be the opportunity to move to shifts in the future with the salary If the role moves to a shift based role the salary would increase to £38,022.40.

You will be carrying out overhauls on a variety of systems, such as hydraulic, pneumatic, brake, bogie and power pack. Due to the safety critical environment of the role, you must adhere to H&S guidelines at all times.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Educated to NVQ 3 within an engineering discipline

• Able to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams

due to the safety critical nature of the business, employment offers will be subject to passing medical and D&A checks.
