We are currently dealing with a major Engineering consultancy who have been appointed on several high-profile projects along with long terms frameworks, with the said consultancy looking to increase the team by recruiting an Associate Director to lead the Rail Civils teams with the role being based in London. Within the role you will lead Rail Civil Structural projects including planning for and the ongoing management of scope, cost, quality, risk, safety, health and environment issues. Job Requirements

- Project planning, including developing and executing project executions plans for all projects under responsibility.
- Manage and deliver significant high value programme of major multi-disciplinary infrastructure bids & projects
- Report to Rail Sector Director on projects progress and status on fortnightly basis;
Representing the consultancy with clients for projects under responsibility; - Leading cross-discipline project teams, building team capability and stakeholder confidence
- Identify project risks and opportunities
- Direct other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
- Briefing and directing project teams to ensure the work is carried out cost effectively and to specification.
- Contributing to bid leadership and developing winning proposals for our target opportunities.
- Manage and coordinate delivery of rail bids working closely with technical discipline leads;
Job Requirements
- Ideally Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer
- Familiar with Network Rail, TfL and other key clients delivery process and requirements
- Significant experience in the UK Rail sector in a particular engineering discipline/multidiscipline rail projects
- Undertaken CEM/CRE or Project management role on multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects
- Experience of Design & Build either working in a Contractor organisation within Design based organization working with contractor and can demonstrate great ability to control these activities
- Knowledge of different contracting types, especially target cost. Experience of resolving disputes, leveraging contracts to grow opportunities
- Ability to ensure robust programmes are in place. Provide evidence of ability to use programmes to report clearly to key stakeholders and delivery against milestones
- Familiar with Network Rail TfL and major contractor clients delivery process through demonstrable project experience
