Location: London/ South
Salary/Rate: £40k to £55k depending on experience

What will you be doing:
In this role you will provide SME guidance to the project team to help support the delivery of digital initiatives within the II Civils Portfolio.
Manage engineering activities so that they result in a scheme that is affordable and meets programme requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner for time, cost and quality.
Maintain the use of relevant techniques and procedures of quantified and qualitative risk assessment and analysis to allocated projects and manage the environmental aspects of allocated projects in accordance with environmental policy.
Monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors.
Identify and share best practice across the various project teams.
Must
• Experience in managing the Asset Management Lifecycle Activities for structures or Tunnels (Structural Examinations, Evaluations or Structural Assessments)
• Structural Engineer with Asset Management experience in railways or highways
• Awareness of some of the systems used to undertake these activities
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
• Successful relevant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in Inspection, construction and design projects across multi discipline areas.
• Knowledge of quality assurance.
• An understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of work.
• CDM, risk assessment, auditing internal and external competency.
• CITB CSCS schemes
Preferable
• Knowledge of Network Rail Structures Discipline Standards
• Bridge or Tunnel Design/Construction experience
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status
• Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects.
• An appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works.
• Project safety management experience
Qualifications
• Technical qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
