Civil Project Engineer in London, London, United Kingdom
The scope requires a multi disciplinary accredited or previously accredited LU Project engineer (requiring future assessment) in accordance with R0046. The candidate will need to be verse in London underground and Network rail standards and processes (Pathway, GRIP etc.).
The scope will include (not limited to):
Act as single point of contact for Engineering topics in relation to the CID project, with effective delegation and empowerment to act on behalf of the CID Lead Project Engineer and/or the 4LM Principal Project Engineer.
*Act as the 'controlling mind', with complete ownership, for the scoping, design and implementation of all engineering systems within the assigned scope for the CID project.
*Capturing and implementation of applicable requirements, notably safety, maintainability, reliability and operability ensuring all designs are based on a buildable solution.Management and coordination of Inter Disciplinary Design Reviews and close out of any actions ensuring design compliance is achieved "first time".
*Lead on technical integration and consultation for the respective disciplines through the engineering lifecycle.
*Lead on issue resolution of multi-disciplinary or multi-project nature.
Management of engineering milestones and ensuring engineering deliverables are clear.
Management and control of Engineering change.
*Challenge discipline specific issues through the respective Discipline Engineers / Stakeholders and escalate items as required to the Lead Project engineer / Lead Discipline Engineers.
Author and/or manage the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering assurance products in compliance with S1538 and Pathway.
*Author and/or manage the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering assurance products in compliance with NR/L2/INI/02009 (Engineering Management for Projects) and or NR/L2/INI/CP0043 (Management of Third Party Works on Network Rail Infrastructure) where applicable.
*Identify non compliances and author and/or manage the development concessions or alternative methods to deliver assured engineering outcomes.
*Manage and maintain the project level technical risk and issues register, holding periodic technical risk reviews with the key stakeholders and provide appropriate mitigation's.
*Support the project in the delivery of its CDM obligations.
*Support the respective Project Manager and their teams in the management of schedule, risk and cost.
*Own the resolution of quality issues with regards to engineering deliverables and support Construction in the management of site quality.
*Identify and lead the delivery of Value Engineering outcomes (design, process, resources, tools, etc.), seeking the support from the key stakeholders.
Represent Engineering at project-level Gates / Checkpoint reviews.
