Civil Engineer (PTS)

Duration: 8 months (with the potential of more work)

Rate: £320 - £350 per day Via Ltd Company (Depending on experience) Outside IR35

Location: Newcastle

My client is looking for an Engineer with a PTS to come on board and join their team based in the Devon area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate site setting out activities to satisfy standards of contract programme requirements
• Ensuring company procedures are thoroughly adopted throughout the setting out process, and acting as the point of communication between head office and site staff
• Effective planning to ensure that most effective use of resource, methods and controls are engaged
• Taking individual accountability to ensuring that project goals are met
• Read site plans and facility drawings ensuring all work is set out and completed in compliance with the approved design drawings
• Oversee quality control, ensuring all work is carried out to highest industry standards, govern the production of ITPs and WPPs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equal qualification
• Hold a PTS
• Previous civil experinece within rail i.e gantries, signalling assets, foundation installations
• Oversee subcontractors on site
• Experience of Setting Out techniques, using EDM's to the specific set of Co-ordinates.
• Comfortable completing engineering documentation
