THE CLIENT

Our client is one of the leading engineering and construction companies in the UK and provide specialist building, civil engineering and rail expertise to a range of markets. They deliver successful projects in a wide range of industries, including commercial, industrial, education, rail infrastructure and depots, highways and energy.

Due to them successfully winning work on a prestigious viaduct project in Birmingham, they are now looking for several Site Engineers to join the ever-growing team – so if you want to join a market leading contractor, what are you waiting for?!

ABOUT THE JOB

The project you will be working includes stripping back a viaduct (road over water) to its core and rebuild/refurbish, as well as some new build features such as new access roads. This is quite a large project so you can be expected to be on-site for many months to come and must have the motivation and determination to see the project through from start to finish. As an experienced Site Engineer you’ll already be aware of what to expect in terms of responsibilities, so if you’re confident you can fulfil this role this is an opportunity you should not miss!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

So, what would make you the perfect Site Engineer for my client? They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with experience on highways and/or civils schemes (e.g. structures). Despite skillset being key, they are dedicated get the culture fit right as they want to bring in people who can develop within the business – so if you’re only looking for a few months’ work to tie you over, stop reading here.

You must be passionate about civil engineering as at the end of the day, you will be carrying out the work 40 hours a week (maybe even more!) so perseverance and resilience is vital in this role. Do you have what it takes?

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• HND/HNC/Degree Civil Engineering
• Experience on highways and/or civils projects

PACKAGE

• Salary depending on experience
• Car allowance/company car
• 25 days’ holiday + 8 days’ bank holiday
