We have an urgent opportunity for an Civils bias experience Works Manager to ensure the smooth and safe delivery of varied Tunnel Ventilation, Fit-outs and Installations all in line with a the final successful delivery of a major Rail development programme, London based.

Responsibilities,

The appointed Civils Works Manager will be working closely with the Senior Management teams, Health and Safety teams and the client and will be accountable for ensuring that project requirement duties are effectively issued to Delivery teams.

• As the Civils Works Manager, you will be leading briefings and some toolbox talks. You will need to oversee delivery, check quality, ensuring that all is being delivered as per programme and scarification.
• You will need a practice best utilisation of resource making sure that Plant and People-power are being employed effectively, being conscious of costings.
• The Civils Works Manager will need to possess strong working appreciation and knowledge of UK Rail along with strong understanding of related policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills at all levels, able to competently interface with clients and key-stakeholders and work collaboratively with associated disciplines.

Requirements

• It is envisaged that this Civils Works Manager will have a strong work history managing the physical delivery of Rail related large Civils works effectively, and ideally be educated to a minimum of HNC or equivalent within Rail Engineering and or Civils engineering.
• You may have come started out in the Trades sector, but would have a string working appreciation of industry Health and Safety legislation might possess an IOSH management of safety competency!
• As Civils Construction Manager you will have a good working appreciation of resource management, Plant and Materials management and be conscious of cost
• You will be focused and passionate about effective, smooth and safe delivery of works.
