Role: Civils CRE

Location: Anglia and NE London

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (+additional benefits)

I'm currently looking for a Civils CRE to work for a many Tier 1 company on a permanent basis as part of their Rail sector working on multi-million pound projects. This is a great opportunity for someone to develop their career and

Responsibilities for the Civils CRE:

• Leading and assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects
• Engaging with and developing good working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including Network Rail / local authorities / Tier 1 contractor's clients and other disciplines
• Check and approval of technical work by the design team
• Mange delivery teams
• Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications
• Scope and supervise surveys
• Input to and preparation of bids and proposals
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team

Requirements for the Civils CRE:

• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising planners, designers, engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team
• Manage own and others time, ensuring deliverables to agreed deadlines and within budget
• Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines
• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline - essential
• Chartered Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers or equivalent - desired
• Experience in delivering and managing all stages of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from initial studies through to detailed design
• Acted as Civils CRE for Rail Engineering projects - essential
• Experience on projects from GRIP 1-8
• Experience on self-delivery projects - essential
• Minimum of 5-10 years' experience working in the Rail sector on Civils projects including:
  • Platform extensions
  • Concrete foundations for OLE masts
  • Concrete foundations for Signal masts
  • Foundations
  • Rock cutting stabilisations works
• PTS qualification desirable
