Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

• 5 years + previous experience as a Civil Designer in the Rail industry
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
• Working knowledge of relevant industry software
• Good written and verbal communication skills

The Role

As the Civil Designer you will be responsible for the design and pre construction phases of multiple North West based Civil / Rail projects with values from £5-50m

Duties

• Maintain the required technical quality of work
• Provide technical assistance to all personnel as required
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
• Maintain good communication with the client and visit sites when necessary
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
• Signing and checking of drawings and documents in accordance with correct procedures.
• Ensure engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, etc.
• Ensure as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
• Facilitate discussions with Senior Designers and Designers relating to design and preparation of drawing issues, providing technical guidance, support and training when required
