We do have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Rail Civil Engineering Project Engineer to join an established consultancy which is heavily engaged within upgrade and development renewals schemes to be conducted on Light Rail Systems infrastructure.

Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Divisional Head and Senior Project Management team, you at the Rail Civils Project Engineer will be accountable for providing technical assistance and delivering the civil design to construction elements of major programmes of work in-line with Bridges and Structures.

You the appointed Civils Project Engineer will be involved in the projects from concept to completion managing the areas of;

- Managing design input and integration
- Managing the input from internal and external engineers
- Evaluation and selection of suitable solutions to technical / civil engineering issues
- Managing the delivery of construction work packages and safety on site

You will need to forge strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients and their representatives and ensure delivery to time, quality, cost and safety criteria.

Requirements:

It is envisaged that successful Project Engineer may be a Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, HNC / HND or equivalent, might be chartered but not essential with demonstrable experience in the construction of civil engineering bridges and structures within the UK Rail industry Light rail or Heavy Rail.

You will be able to act on your own initiative, be a clear and concise communicator, customer / client focussed with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
