Contractors Responsible Engineer Civils - Rail

About the role
Here at Babcock International, we’re looking to recruit a Civils Contractors Responsible Engineer to ensure physical implementation of Civil Engineering and PWAY project works are to correct technical standards, and work as an integral part of the project team to ensure the safe, successful and technically compliant delivery of the portfolio of allocated contracts.
Main responsibilities include:
• Provide Civils technical support to Babcock Translink Project.
• Act as a technical contact and liaison with team members, clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve any technical issues.
• Management of Sub Contractors.
• Preparation of Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and Risk Assessments.
• Contribute as required to preparation of budget and Input into programme and resource plan.
What do I need to do the role?
You will have a recognised Engineering degree or equivalent level of experience, with proven experience within site management or project management delivering Civil Engineering and Rail works, ideally PWAY.
You will have experience of managing and directing site based teams on Civils and Rail works, and of managing sub-contractors.
You will also hold a PTS Certificate, and Incorporated Engineer status.
What else do I need to know?
This role is based out of our Belfast office, but travelling will be involved to sites across Northern Ireland.
Working hours are 35 per week Monday to Friday. You will be expected to visit sites at night and weekends to complete works, but this will be very rare.
