We're recruiting for the Deep Tube project recently awarded to our business.

General Description:

• To support the ADComms Design and Engineering department in the production of detail required for submission in overall design documentation.
• The role will involve carrying out and interpreting detailed survey information of railway infrastructure and producing detailed civil works plans, general arrangements and calculations.
• Working with the various project teams to update and revise drawings and documentation to reflect additional scope and changes to design detail.
• Compiling documentation and drawings into correct format for submission to clients, including redlined design packs and as-built information.
• Production of detailed bill of materials from design documentation utilising existing parts catalogues and assisting with specifying new parts and suppliers where necessary.
• Assisting in interpreting new requests for design deliverables to various telecom and civils projects.
• Assisting with supporting live projects with design and engineering deliverables.
• Attending various locations throughout the UK to support projects as and when required.

Responsibilities:

The Civils Design Engineer at ADComms will be required to display the following competences.

• Experience and good understanding of the UK rail communication and signaling network

• Familiarity with mechanical and civil engineering methods of construction

• Experience with production of bills of materials for technical projects

• Able to communicate clearly in written, sketch and drawn forms to people at all levels

• Capable of working to tight project time scales whilst paying attention to detail

• Ability to deliver projects within timescale and act comfortably under pressure

• Experience with multi-discipline MicroStation drawing production

• Competent user of Microsoft Word, and Excel

Desired but not essential:

• Experience with ISO and TFL Standards

• Telecommunication industry experience OPO CCTV

• Good understanding of Civil/Mechanical and Electrical design regulations.

Desired Education Requirements:

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.

• Level 2 or above in CAD design.
