Independent Safety Assessor - Saudi Arabia
EWI are supporting a prominent engineering firm who are currently seeking an experienced Independent Safety Assessor to join their team in Saudi Arabia for a prestigious rail project
As an Independent Safety Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our rail project in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the areas of civil engineering, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and fire safety. You will work closely with the project team to assess safety measures, identify potential risks, and recommend necessary improvements to maintain the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Assessment: Conduct independent safety assessments of civil engineering components, NFPA compliance, and fire safety measures associated with the rail project.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential safety risks and hazards, assess their severity, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices, including NFPA codes and guidelines.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed safety assessment reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and safety professionals, to implement safety improvements.
- Site Visits: When necessary, be prepared to conduct on-site visits to the project location in Saudi Arabia to assess safety measures and provide on-ground expertise.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and safety advancements to continuously improve safety practices on the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in safety assessment, with expertise in civil engineering, NFPA, and fire safety.
- Knowledge of relevant safety codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a high level of self-motivation.
- Willingness to travel to the project site in Saudi Arabia, if required.
