We are currently dealing with on the most well renowned technical design engineering consultancies, who are looking to expand their team by recruiting a Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer in either Croydon, or London. You will have the opportunity to work on a mixed and varied project portfolio which could include working on utilities and drainage on HS2, external works on Thames Tideway or the civil infrastructure and drainage associated with Stadia or Hospitals.

As the Principal Civil Infrastructure Engineer you will have a background in liaising and working with various Civil Engineering disciplines, being responsible for managing, planning, design and implementation of highway/infrastructure projects. This includes leading projects and ensuring the delivery to client requirements are of quality standards, programme and budget.

As part of the roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure team, you can be involved in strategy, concept and scheme development to detailed design and construction stages. This will be a technical leadership role, in which you will have the ability to dissect, make comments and recommendation on designs, giving technical direction to the Design Engineers.

As mentioned, this role is based in either Croydon, or London. Although advertised as a Principal Engineer we will also consider and experience Senior Civil Engineer or Associate. 

Job Requirements

• Chartered (or Incorporated) Engineer
• Demonstrable record of designing and delivering civil infrastructure projects
• Substantial technical experience in one or more of highways, drainage, civil infrastructure, utilities, BIM including design, specification and construction documentation
• Strong background within Civil Infrastructure Design with a previous technical ability in Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainge or similar so you can provide guidance to Design Engineers
• Experience in acting as the technical lead, providing guidance to junior Engineers
