Job Title: Rail Civils Setting Out Engineer

Rate: £250-300 per day

Location: Devon and Cornwall Area

Leading in global engineering and technological services, the company has been established for over 170 years. It provides innovative solutions to the UK’s infrastructure and energy problems and is looking to expand further by searching for a site engineer with setting out experience and within the rail sector.

As a candidate you will need:

• Previous experience as a setting out engineer in a rail environment.
• Strong experience in civil engineering, setting out and assets delivery, preferably in the rail industry.
• Skills in using OS, Snake grid, GPS, total station etc. – managing conversions.
• PTS, SMSTS and IOSH or equivalent.
• Microsoft office proficient.
• Must have skills in organization and communication, with ability to work under pressure in setting out.
• Able to work with intense accuracy in an independent work environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Setting out to site gangs of other civil engineers by the day.
• Assessing the quality requirements and providing site engineering maintenance.
• Aiding Work Package Plans, task briefs and material take off.
• Production of as built records (red line drawings, etc).
