Vital Canning Town are looking for a Site Supervisor to join one of our client rail team's delivering civil engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

• Interface between the Construction Manager / Site Agent and construction activities on site.
• To supervise civils works to ensure they are undertaken safely and in accordance with approved methodologies.
• Attend meeting as required for Safe Planning and Delivery of works within possessions, including sub-contractor progress meetings / Safety meetings.
• Undertake PGI / Safety inspections
• Undertake briefings on planned works to Subcontractors
• Undertake submission of daily shift reports
• Lead and promote a safety-first culture and adhere to all company practices, procedures and directives
• Comply with environmental policies, practices and procedures
• Complete Quality check sheets using the digital assurance software
• Liaise with the CRE to ensure progressive quality assurance
• Understand and interpret drawings
• Managing Resources
• Ensure reports are made accurately and on time
• Report errors or omissions in a timely and diligent manner through shift reports.
• Follow plans to achieve planned outcomes within possessions

Who we're looking for

• COSS and PTS certified.
• SSSTS Competent.
• Computer literate: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Be a strong team worker and ability to build relationships across the team on site.
• Strong communicator using verbal and written methods.
• Experience in working with a Railway Construction Environment with regards to Civil Engineering Works, including foundations and cable management systems
• Experience of railway geotechnical works including earthworks, king post walls, gabion baskets and sheet piling7
