Rail – Lineside & Stations Civils Skilled Operative

Location: Midlands, South East & South Wales

About The Role

We have an opening in our Rail division for a Civils Skilled Operative to join our Rail team. As a Civils Skilled Operative you will work within a site team, safely, efficiently and to a high standard on Rail Civil Engineering Projects. You will carry out instructions from the team Ganger / Supervisor in line with project scope and deliverables.

Key Accountabilities:

• To carry out all instructions as required to the relevant standards / specifications.
• Driving, loading/unloading materials / plant
• To be courteous and respectful to members of public at all times
• At least 12 months on site experience within a Lineside and or Station environment.
• Installation of TEH/DNO bases.
• Installation of Fencing and Handrails.
• Installation of Stakka Boxes and Turning Chambers.
• Laying and replacing Troughing routes.
• Installation of Buried Ducts.
• Installation of Retaining Walls.
• Installation of Lineside/Station Cabling
• Incident, close call, near miss reporting.
• Site clearance
• De-vegetation / ballast clearance

Essential Skills

• PTS AC/DCCR
• Clean UK Driving Licence
• Eligibility to work within the UK
• Manual Handling
• Small Tools & Plant
• First Aid Certification
• CAT & Genny
• Track trolley
• Able to work nights, weekends and days as the programme requires
• Prepared to travel
• Punctual & Team player
• Positive, proactive, and flexible approach
• Self-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good task and time management skills
• Honesty and integrity
