SHE Advisor – Rail/Civil Engineering

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced SHE Advisor to provide advice and direction ensuring the continuous improvement to safety, health and environment performance and promote a positive, collaborative safety culture.

Working closely with management and supervisors to provide support in the safety, health, and environmental aspects of their work. This includes carrying out site visits, assistance with the preparation of safety and environmental documentation and monitoring site performance. Administer the Safety Health and Environment requirements of the management system framework to ensure business compliance.

Ensure the Safety, Health, and Environment requirements of the management system framework, such as manuals, standards and the integration into business processes, is such that a consistent approach that can evolve, improve and be integrated into core processes and activities to deliver improvement in capabilities and performance to maintain accreditation to current ISO requirements.

Maintain a knowledge and awareness of new or changes to Legislation, Railway Group Standards, and Company Standards in relation to SHE and ensure that any new or changes to legislation are reflected within working procedures.

Lead and manage investigation process that will support the implementation of behavioural based safety learning and its effectiveness to improve knowledge and learning to reduce the likelihood and impact of events.

Provide management information, analysing and preparing insights to support management in making informed decisions, that will improve the management of safety health and environment risks.

Develop, maintain, and review the risk and COSHH assessment processes, including the compilation of noise at work assessments and provide information to Project Management for the monitoring of hand arm vibration and whole-body vibration.
