The Project

As a Section Engineer, you will ensure the work on a Water Framework completing civil works on the south coast is completed on time and up to the company quality standards.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

• SMSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS Card
• Driving Licence
• HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

• Experience in construction / civil engineering in the Water Industry as a Section Engineer or similar role

• Job Title: Section Engineer
• Location: Southampton
• Duration: Long Term Contract
• Reporting to: Site Agent

Duties

• Oversee and mentor's engineers on site
• Communicate with operational personnel to ensure the effective employment of site resources and labour
• Provide inputs into weekly and short-term look-ahead programmes
• Communicate with subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Organising plant and labour when required
• Understands programme requirements, organises work in accordance with programme, drives work output
• Contributes to risk assessments, method statements and systems of work
• Working understanding of subcontracts and subcontract management
• Implementation of safe working practices on site and for developing operatives' safety awareness
• Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with method statements and in line with the specification
• Working understanding of the appropriate conditions of contract
