Senior Civil Design Engineer

About the Role:
An award winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy are looking to recruit a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support their Civil Engineering team in Guilford. You will be working on a variety of infrastructure projects, including educational, residential and commercial for both local authority and private sector clients.

You will be leading a small team of Civil Engineers and Technicians providing technical guidance and mentoring Junior Civil Engineers. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed in an efficient manner, within the project budget and exceeding client expectations. Additionally, you will ensure that designs, assessments and calculations produced by your team are completed in accordance to DMRB, SuDS Manual and other relevant design standards.

The ideal candidate for the position must have previous project experience leading small teams, delegating and supervising work. Furthermore, you must have experience in highway and pavement design, as well as knowledge of foul and surface water drainage.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Drainage design
• Experience of Highway and Pavement Design
• Knowledge of DMRB, SuDS Manual, Sewers for Adoption and other relevant design standards and codes of practice.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations
• Experience using Civil 3D, PDS, AutoTrack and other similar design software
• Experience using MicroDraiange, Flood Modeller Pro, WinDES and other drainage design software.
