Senior Civil Engineer

Location: St Helens / Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 dependant on experience plus package

Job Description:

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will play a critical role in delivering our exciting and varied civil engineering projects alongside a team of likeminded and highly skilled Civil Engineers.

You will champion excellence within the discipline, and provide guidance and support junior engineers and have unparalleled opportunities for career development in a fast growing consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare outline and detailed design for a wide array of civil engineering projects
- Follow check and approve procedures throughout project delivery
- Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM/CSM legislation
- Engage with clients and support successful project delivery
- Contribute to company goals and business improvement
- Continue your own professional development
- Support junior staff development

Required Experience:

- CEng or IEng qualified with a professional body i.e. ICE, IStructE
- Demonstratable experience in a Civil Engineering role, ideally acting as CRE, CRE under mentorship
- Experience of civil engineering design and in the railway industry, including an understanding of Network Rail standards
- A Civil Engineering degree (MEng preferred but not critical)
- Knowledge of civil design and construction principles and standards
- Eurocode experience
- Experience in delivering to safety standards and CDM/CSM requirements
- Experience of commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets/timescales
- Proficient in the use of computer analysis programs e.g. TEDDS and Supersuite.
- Knowledge of producing drawings by using 2D/3D Microstation
