VolkerFitzpatrick is part of VolkerWessels UK, a multi-disciplinary construction and civil engineering group operating across the UK in six operating companies.

The role

• To manage the allocation of planning resource in conjunction with the Senior Management team.
• To ensure the planning team develop tender programmes and construction programmes to support the successful delivery of rail projects.
• To ensure consistency to project programme and reporting within the rail business and to planning procedures.
• To participate fully in supporting the rail business in achieving its objectives, through supporting and communicating with the Divisional Directors and Senior Management Team.

Key accountabilities

• To manage and support the planning team to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to projects and consistency is applied to all project programmes and reports.
• Ensure resources are available to support the bid teams in producing tender programmes.
• Work with the bid team to develop an outline programme from tender information, gathering information from Operations, Commercial, Procurement and HSEQ team members.
• Ensure continued resource availability following tender submission to attend to programme questions and queries.
• Continued development of tender programmes from tender submission to award.
• Provide support and expertise to the Project Manager and the team.
• Work with the Commercial team to produce procurement schedules and update as required.
• Work with the Design Management team and Designers to produce schedules of deliverables and
  update as required.
• Ensure all project programmes are complete and closed out.

Skills & experience

• Relevant construction / civil engineering qualifications desirable.
• Experience in site based activities
• Experience in Primavera P6 planning software
• Experience in possession planning
• Relevant experience working on multi-disciplinary projects
• PTS
• CSCS
