Assistant Commercial Managers (Rail) - London/Hybrid - £315/day umbrella - 6 months+

We are currently recruiting for a number of Assistant Commercial Managers to join our client working in the Rail sector. The roles are based in Central London with a hybrid working arrangement (2/3 days a week). These are contract roles with an initial 6 Month duration though likely to extend, the rate is £315/day on an umbrella company basis.

This is an exciting time to be joining the programme and you will be part of a team managing the procurement, cost and contract management of various works packages including new state of the art trains, signalling systems and infrastructure upgrades

Key Responsibilities/Expectations

* Planning, delivering and managing all procurement activities to deliver contracts and frameworks for works, goods and services contracts including prequalification, tender and negotiation of contracts and contact award recommendations using procurement processes and systems.

* Management of construction, engineering, supply and service contracts.

* Contracts management, administration, cost management and change management to contract completion (final accounts with our suppliers).

* Able to deliver construction cost analyses; knowledge of NEC forms and ability to manage contract administration;

* Knowledge of procurement law and activities.

* Strong negotiation, numeracy and data analysis skills

Qualifications/Experience

* Experience of managing complex customer and supplier relationships

* Hold or working towards Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or equivalent professional qualifications

* Proven experience of managing complex customer and supplier relationships.

* Have worked in the Rail sector ideally, they will also consider other sectors including Construction, Engineering, Utilities etc.
