A fantastic opportunity has become available to work with an engineering contractor in London who are working on a number of notable projects which include Crossrail, CP6 Programmes and some Thames Water projects. They are looking for a commercial and Procurement Manager to join them in their Dalston office, leading the commercial and procurement activities in delivering contracts and frameworks for works, goods and services contracts within the projects.
The role:
Procurement:
- Leading and managing staff on the projects
- Planning, delivering, and managing all procurement activities to deliver contracts and frameworks for works, goods and services contracts
- Develop and maintain positive collaborative relations with cutomers, suppliers and between key functions and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage effective sourcing, tendering and negotiation of goods or services with a total alliance value of up to 70 million annually, to achieve business priorities, efficiency targets, compliance with NWR Policies
Commercial:
- Ability to lead and manage commercial staff on the project
- Plan, manage and coordinating project Procurement activities and supply chain
- Contributing to the overall management of the TSOs portfolio of projects and contracts
- Maintaining commercial compliance of contractual obligations
Requirements:
- Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Procurement
- Civil/Rail experience and track record in delivery of rail procurement and tender projects
- 5+ years experience as a Commercial Manager or Procurement Manager
- Extensive experience using NEC3 suite of contracts with options A, C and E
