Commercial Director (Infrastructure) - NEOM, Saudi Arabia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a Major International firm who are requiring a Commercial Director for the infrastructure component of the NEOM project in Saudi Arabia.

Opportunity:

The NEOM project is the largest in the World, and is a city being built in Tabuk Province in north-western Saudi Arabia. It is planned to be Carbon Neutral, incorporate smart city technologies and function as a tourist destination. The site is north of the Red Sea, east of Egypt across the Gulf of Aqaba, and south of Jordan. It is planned to cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi), extending 170 kilometres along the coast of the Red Sea.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of senior contracts managers in the execution of the program objectives
• Responsibility for the formation and administration of all contracts on the program.
• Manges the staffing, training, and retention of contracts personnel for the program and annual performance review and reward process for the same.
• Provides support and guidance to the program in the management of the prime contract; works with the program to identify the prime contract baseline, project opportunities and risks, and to develop a risk mitigation plan.
• Participates in program related meetings, works closely with all functions and reviews project financial data.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or other applicable field.
• 15-years of team leadership.
• 25-years of experience in commercial or contracts management on mega-programs/projects.
• Thorough knowledge of contract formation and administration.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities suitable for managing a workforce of many nationalities and backgrounds.
• Extensive skill in working and informing effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Experience in the Middle East and especially Saudi Arabia preferred.
