An opportunity has arisen within our major railway infrastructure client for a Commercial Manager to head up the commercial team for railway infrastructure projects in the Western region, based out of Swindon. This is a contract role for initially 5-6 months. This role is a public sector client and has been determined to be in scope for IR35 regulations.
This role is a senior role, with accountability for commercial issues for this division. The role will involve cost reporting, forecasting, providing commercial guidance for Project Managers, financial presentations and other associated duties.
Successful candidate will have commercial management experience, ideally from an accountancy or contracts management background rather than an experienced QS. The successful candidate will have strong experience in the rail sector and excellent working knowledge of working with NR12 contracts. Knowledge of Interim Payment Accounts and Change Order Management systems would be desirable. Excellent communication and presentation skills will be required as role involves presenting to senior internal stakeholders.
