- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team, provide information to allow for the preparation of annual budgets and future capital expenditure whilst ensuring compliance with the Company’s financial procedures.
- Optimise contract turnover, profitability, and cash for contracts within your business area.
- Review and assure monthly reconciliations of contract performance on all contracts in your business area in line with the companies or clients requirements, inclusive of the organisation of appropriate review meetings.
- Responsible for the presentation, submission and accuracy of reports on contract/businesses performance.
- Responsible for accurate monthly turnover forecasts and cash flows inclusive of monitoring against pre-set budgets.
- Ensure the project teams have adequate control measures for costs, budgets, cost to complete and outturn forecasts
- Ensure Contracts in your business area are administered and managed in line with Contract Conditions and the Commercial Manual.
- Responsible for the production of, assurance, execution, negotiation and/or defence of complex change control items/ entitlement exercises/ extensions of time in-line with the requirements of the Commercial Manual.

- Responsible for the performance of the commercial team under your control.
- Lead and undertake line management duties for members of the commercial team.
- Responsible for the recruitment of new Commercial staff within your business area.
- Develop commercial team members to ensure optimal output is achieved with consideration for future succession planning.
- Deputise for the Senior Commercial Manager or Operational Leads when required.
- Support the development of new and follow-up business including leading the work winning process or the provision of quotes where required.
- Accountable for the procurement and management of Subcontracts and Suppliers in accordance with the Commercial Manual whilst ensuring best value is achieved.
- Review and assure sub-contract or supplier order conditions in accordance with Commercial Manual
- Resolve claims and disputes with both Clients and Subcontractors in accordance with your ATC level
- Oversee the administration of cash out of the business in line with payment performance reporting requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring information and records are produced, managed and stored in-line the companies and contracts requirements using an appropriate and consistent approach.
- Lead and / or input into both internal and external Commercial Audit’s
- Build and maintain relationships with clients in your business area.
- Responsible for ensuring there are robust and effective paths of information/ communication/ dissemination within both their department and team.
- Liaison regularly with the Finance and Operations teams to identify and realise opportunities for RDEC
- Feedback of Contract performance to Work Winning.
- Feedback on Supply Chain performance to the Procurement department
