Job Title:
- Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Lead, also interested in Commercial Managers
Location:
- South West, commutable from Swindon, Bath, Chippenham, Basingstoke, Oxford, Bristol and Cheltenham.
Salary / Benefits:
- £85,000 - £100,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus car/allowance and benefits package,
Start Date:
- ASAP
Company Information:
- Working for a Principal Contractor who specialise in Civils & Construction within the Rail sector on their newly awarded major Civil Engineering frameworks, including; structures, rail infrastructure, airports, rivers, canals and coastal, flood defences, landscaping, waste facilities and highway infrastructure
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- 10 years plus experience in a commercial role
- at least 5 years extensive commercial management experience leading a team, and delivering Civil Engineering and Rail Sector construction contracts.
- A degree level qualification or experience with RICS or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering Construction, NEC Contracts and ICE Contracts, Accountancy principles and general administration.
- Wthe ability to undertake extensive travel across Southern England.
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Specific ICE/NR experience
- NEC3/4 experience
- Professional Status (RICS or equivalent)
Role Information;
Prepare comprehensive commercial management plans and where appropriate a recovery plans
- Monitor and where required approve subcontractor payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with terms
- Systematically review and validate contracts and key commercial correspondence with Clients and the Supply Chain.
- Ensure that local teams and individual commercial staff have balanced workload
- Manage commercial and contractual issues with Clients and the Supply chain.
- Liaise with Commercial Director and legal on contractual matters.
- Attend meetings with Clients (Employers) Representatives on behalf of the business.
- Effectively chair meetings with Clients or the Supply chain.
