We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to look after a portfolio of 5-6 projects and will be responsible for taking them all the way from development to close. The role is a mix of pre and post contract management and contract values will range from £200,000 to £30million.

This position will be based in Birmingham on an initial 6 month contract for a well known and prestigious infrastructure company.

In this Senior Commercial Manager position you will be responsible for establishing and implementing appropriate commercial strategies, framework agreements and supporting contracts leading the commercial review of contractor delivery, attending valuation & progress meetings as necessary. You will initiate estimating and risk & value management of projects during the project life-cycle, recommending appropriate mitigating actions on commercial/risk events at the earliest opportunity. Along with leading the negotiation of all prices under existing contracts/framework agreements, and the final account settlements on all projects to manage close out as per the project authority, project plan and within agreed timescales.

A successful Senior Commercial Manager would need a strong background of contract governance and cost reporting, in addition to keen negotiation skills with stakeholders and suppliers and essential Rail experience desirably with Network Rail and an understanding of their contracts.
