Vital Rail, part of the Morson Group, is recruiting for the following role due to continued growth in the UK Rail sector. As the UK’s largest supplier of skilled labour to the UK Rail Industry, safety is the number one priority of the Vital business and therefore an experienced and committed HSE Manager is sought after to ensure this is demonstrated at all times through the culture and the behaviors of all Vital Rail representatives.
Head office: Based in Salford, Manchester
Work location: Main location VHRL Head Office (also meetings at rail branches when required)
Compliance Coordinator role reporting to Rail Compliance Manger covering head office and branch operations located in England, Wales and Scotland working with VHRL clients and other parties
Job Description:
- Performance analysis and reporting to ensure full compliance with internal, client and relevant rail industry standards, rules, procedures and processes
- Produce accurate reports for the presentation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for both internal business performance review and client contract management review
- Develop reporting format and produce presentation packs for both internal and client meetings
- Support development and improvement of processes in conjunction with IT to ensure the right information is available at the right time
- Support change management e.g. produce and deliver briefing materials to facilitate changes to process and procedures
- Support development of other means to gather and present performance information including white boards and electronic / digital technology
- Perform branch audits on compliance driven processes / procedures and support investigation of non-conformance
- Perform regular review of data and address short-falls to ensure high quality compliance and performance management information in Oracle database other systems
- Initiate and support innovation to improve compliance and performance management reporting
- Understand legislation and standards relevant to the business and industry
The successful applicant requires the following ability and skills:
- Strong, accurate analytical skills to turn business information into reportable and actionable data for performance reports presented both internally and to the client
- Communication skills to influence all levels of the business from clerical / administration through to Senior Manager and Director level, keeping communication simple and effective
- Planning and time management to organise work in a dynamic environment to meet internal and client-driven deadlines
- Strong understanding of IT systems/databases, process design and data management
- Process and compliance mind-set with experience in rail, construction or similar
- Change management experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills - especially Excel and PowerPoint
